climate change high on the global agenda, it won’t be long before growing consumer concerns impact every
packaging design brief – from
format to substrate, graphics, and tactility and beyond.
Consumers
are rejecting ‘over-packaging’, driving brand owners to reduce
their environmental footprint and to explore ecologically sustainable
materials. Or just less materials to begin with.
Many
brands are also positioning themselves as eco-warriors or communicating their
eco credentials from a manufacturing, sourcing and packaging perspective. They
are wearing their FSC or Marine Stewardship logos with pride.
